Three healthcare trends for 2016

This week in mobilehealthnews.com there was one news about the healthcare spending in previous years (US data). What was interesting were the three trends that the Health Research Institute (HRI) from PwC has identified for 2016:

  1. Affordable Care Act excise tax, this one will be responsable for cost sharing with employees
  2. Increase in the use of virtual care, remote monitoring and telemedicine
  3. Health adviser services (consulting companies), to improve customers efficiency

HRI points out those three trends as forces that will lower the spending in healthcare, next year.

Besides a mark out for the US healthcare, we now that a trend could get globalized and we should expect this for Europe and I hope for the number two ramp-up!
